"That was different. That bastard wasn't a pretty boy." Meng Yao pointed out, feeling confident that Xue Yang was in love and that might offer a buffer to his impulses. Maybe. Hopefully. "He won't do that to Xiao Xingchen. He hated that ugly bastard, he took his finger and hurt him. This was just-- high school stuff."
Meng Yao sat on the couch and then started to eat his rice, not really worried. "He's fine. Everything is fine. Just relax, will you?"
"I really disagree with your definition of 'fine'," Wei Wuxian hissed, but he also was pausing to shovel rice into his mouth. He supposed Meng Yao had a point. Xue Yang didn't seem murderous or even particularly sadistically inclined right now. So maybe it wasn't as bad as all that. Or maybe he was sleeping with a fresh corpse in there, but if so? Nothing much he could do.
"Xiao Xingchen graduated well, didn't he? Wonder what he was doing in the kind of club Xue Yang goes to." As did they, but still. He was just saying. "I guess he is slumming it. Good for Xue Yang."
"Xue Yang told me he was looking for him so maybe he just wanted to get himself some strange. Everyone has cravings." Meng Yao shrugged his shoulders as he paused to eagerly eat his rice. Xue Yang was good at feeding them and his talents in the kitchen were amazing. He hoped to always live with him or at least near by. If nothing, for the food.
"I don't know much about Xiao Xingchen but last I heard, he graduated university and is currently running a NGO to help children in foster care to access support and counselling. My father donated to him, I believe." Wasn't that a gross irony, given there was a good chance some of their kids were likely his own.
"Lan Zhan kissed me once when I was blindfolded and I thought he was a girl. That was exciting, I guess. Before we got together." What a strange event that had been, although the kiss made a lot more sense in retrospect. His beautiful Lan Zhan rather than an oddly tall and well-muscled girl. Wei Wuxian shook his head at the memory, focusing on what Meng Yao was saying.
"Aw. It's nice that your father is looking out for what I assume might be 50 percent his offspring."
Hopefully an exaggeration. "Well. Xue Yang can make him breakfast tomorrow, he's a good cook. Might make up for some dubious consent."
"All I will say is that you're an idiot if you thought someone that tall and broad was a girl, blindfolded or not. You are such a weird person." And yet, it happened and it was a fascinatingly entertaining tale.
"Just relax, we'll all eat breakfast and it'll be totally normal, you know?" Or, at least, he sincerely hoped so.
